Welcome

Though most of this blog contains pictures, it's also a detailed account of my life living with three boys. And yes, they are all boys. Hope you enjoy... they're pretty cute (but often smell).

Hudson: 2 months Old

My lil' guy isn't so little anymore! Well, I guess he never really was...

Hudson had his two month check-up on Tuesday and is currently 25" tall and weighs 15 lbs and 9 ounces!

Other stats:

  • Wearing size 2 diapers
  • Mostly wearing 9 months clothes (yes, 9 month)
  • Eating about 30-35 ounces of formula a day (7 bottles a day)
  • Has been averaging 5 hour sleep shifts at night (putting him down between 10-11pm, and then waking up for a bottle around 3-4am)
  • Is smiling like crazy and has even produced a few giggles
  • Can pretty much hold his head up
  • Loves to move and would be crawling if he had any idea how to control his arms and legs
  • Still loves to cuddle but has been pretty content snoozing in his swing (I need to get him napping in the crib)
  • Still rocks the swaddle/sleep sack at night but has been breaking his arms out
  • Has a very sweet disposition - he rarely cries, only has one major fuss period (for Jason around 9:30pm)
  • Jason and I both think he'll be the laid-back one, but will also be our bruiser (Cole will be the mouth and Huddy will have to back it up)

If you're interested in comparing my boys, Cole has the same height at 2 months but only 13 lbs 10 ounces. More here.

Hope you all are enjoying your Summer. Mine is coming to an end in a few short weeks... or at least that's what it feels like since I'll be going back to work after the 4th of July weekend... This time will be much harder in some ways and easier in others...

Playlist

Going off topic here… In other words, this post is not about Cole. Well, not totally.

Since most people will be stuck in a car this weekend – driving to exotic destinations – I thought I’d post my new mixtape playlist. We only have about an hour and a half drive, but I was a girl scout – always be prepared - so this one covers a little more than that.

Oh - and this has nothing to do with the ACTUAL 4th. Nothing patriotic on this it... that one's in the works still!

Hope you all have an awesome 4th!

Spring Time

FINALLY! I think we're finally on a nice-weather spell. I can feel it!

This past weekend we were able to get outside and enjoy the sun... and Cole's new t-ball set. I think J might like it more than Cole :)

Cole also has a new favorite spot. The willow tree. Every time we're outside he goes and sits under it. Pretty sweet.

Well Spring has finally decided to come! I couldn't be happier... and going on how much Cole's been outside since the weather has turned, he couldn't be either!

Here's a random smathering of pictures from the last few weeks...

.30-35 graham crackers, broken into small pieces
.1 ¼ cup chocolate chunks
.1 bag (250g) of marshmallows
.6 tbsp. butter
.1/4 tsp. vanilla
::what you’ll do::
.melt the butter in a saucepan
.add vanilla
.add marshmallows and stir until melted
.add the broken graham crackers
.remove from heat and add 1 cup of chocolate chips
.spread onto a greased 9” x 13” cake pan
.sprinkle remaining chocolate chips on top
.place in refrigerator until cooled
.cut into squares and enjoy!
